Simple Thoughts of Mine

I am nothing special; just a common woman with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who's ever lived: I've loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough.

Deprived badly of...

Time to stock up bottles of chicken essence. It is 3.05am now and I am squeezing some precious time of mine to write my current thoughts. Tired/ drained/ half-dead... I can barely open my eyes at tis very moment but I still couldn't hit the sack just as yet. I planned to take a quick nap of 1 and an half hrs before I continued with my work but I ended up having a little chat with my friend. Ok, that's how I misused my resting time. Been working late since last week except Friday. Time is running short, always running short in my line of work. We can never finish our work before 6pm. Never!! I was assigned to work alone on an engagement this week. As I mentioned earlier, we or shld I say, I was runnning short of time, so I planned to stay at my client's place until their last staff leave the office. By 9 pm, there were only 3 persons including myself in the whole office. By 10.30pm, there was only 2 persons (2 girls) left including myself again. I was seated at the other end of the office, so there's no way I could see this other girl. When I walked past her desk, she was not at her desk!! OMG!! I was very certain that I didn't hear the door opened. Btw, she is not a ghost and I am not narrating a horror tale. I was feeling rather petrified then. I began to sms my friends to check who could chat with me to divert my fear away temporary. Started packing up my files and documents and laptop and avoid looking at the washroom becoz I was sitting near there. 'Thanks' to my client who made such a lovely arrangement for me. Soon after, I heard voices. Ok, the same girl returned with another girl. I saw shadows behind them. Not some form of ghosts or spirits but war-blooded mammals. It was really scary to be alone in the office where some of the ceiling lightings were switched off. Freaky scary man.... damn freaky. An 'adventurous' job I have here. Very...So by 11pm, no one was left in the office, I would like think so.

I love Peak Period!

Time of the year again. Start of my monstrous peak again. ZZzzz monster is not my buddy anymore, not for at least 4 months later. My buddies currently? My colleagues whom I will be on the same engagement with or anyone who happens to be working late with me. Am stocking up on my beauty care products to fight the aging process where working late nights is a catalyst for aging. Glad I don't smoke and I'm beginning to enjoy night life. Been clubbing rather often lately. Love chilling out with friends at the bar, club and drink for abit. Love jogging. Love shopping for beautiful clothes and shoes. Love my job. I really do. Can't explain why. Love spending my weekends not doing work if I can help it. Love baking. Wish I can start baking real soon. Cheers!

Exercise Report 13/1/07

Since I didn't puke from clubbing on Friday night, I knew for sure that I won't be able to stay awake till 8am for a morning jog. I slept at 5am today. Strangely enough, I woke up exactly at 730am sharp. My biological clock had auto alarm set in my body it seemed. I was still terribly dead tired from the club hopping thingy then, and I hit the sack again within seconds.

Had my beauty sleep till 11ish am. Determined to materialise one of my resolutions for 2007, I washed up and gathered my workout gear. Location for workout: California Fitness Centre. Due to poor time management and laziness, I missed my spinning class (indoor cycling programme) which promised to torch an average of 500 calories per 40-min workout. Well, no major harm done, so the next option for me was to jog on the treadmill for 30 mins. Increased my speed slowly with an average speed of 6.8km/hour. When I finished my run, the display panel showed that I'd jogged for 3.3km. Oh boy, some parts of my hair were soaking wet. I felt great then. Soon after, I headed for the sit-up machine. Panting hard, I tried to work on my tummy by performing as many sit-ups as I could. That's my exercise programme for the day.

Bars & Clubs hopping

Caught up with an old friend of mine, JS whom I haven't met for a couple of years. We went to Clarke Quay where quite a number of bars and clubs were located. Our first stop was Kandi Bar but there ain't any avail seats, so we left. We gave it a miss to those clubs that required us to pay cover charge. After scouting for a short while, we decided on 'Fashion Bar'. Mounted on the walls on the insides of the bar, were puny LCD tvs which were screening shows relating to fashion. The place looked interesting including the patrons. Ordered a lychee martini which filled up slightly more than half a glass. JS was unhappy on their serving portion and started providing feedback to the bar attendant for more than 5 mins. It was really pricey for a half filled lychee maritni. I suppose we won't be patronising this bar again. Next, we moved on to Forbidden City(FC, not Financial Controller). I ordered Cosmopolitan as JS told me it was a lady's drink.Tasted like sweet liquor to me. I like it. JS swayed to the music while I was glued to my seat. I'm not much of a dancer but I do dance. I am always entertained observing clubbers especially pretty female ones danced creatively/ sexily. It was quite a turn-on for guys in the club. I wondered if I would've the guts to dance 'crazily' in the club one day. It seemed fun and adventurous. Gonna get JS to give me free dancing lessons. He shaked his bon-bon so well. And no, I was not turned on. haha... Stayed at FC for an hour plus and we hopped to another club again. This time round, we ended up at Attica Too. It was packed. It was a good mixture of crowd. Young and old. Saw this uncle who was old enough to be my dad danced really well. It made me happy seeing him enjoying himself to the music.I finally danced, my first and last dance for the night. And this was the last club for us, finally.
