Simple Thoughts of Mine

I am nothing special; just a common woman with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who's ever lived: I've loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough.

I know I ain't a cheapskate & it has been confirmed!

You Are Not a Cheapskate
When it comes to money, you're very fair. You're generous when you can be, and you never cheat anyone out of what they deserve. If you have the money, you enjoy splurging. But you never overspend.
Are You a Cheapskate?

All the facts seem right about me except the last sentence, ' But you never OVERSPEND.' Hmm...

What's Your Power Bird?

As seen at Seeking Solace's

Your Power Bird is an Eagle
You are spiritual and able to soar to great heights. You are a true inspiration, and many people look to you for guidance. And you are quite demanding in relationships... but you're worth it.People know that you will become even greater than you imagine.

Picnic at the Park

Encountered many 'first time' experiences on 13th May 2007. I watched a play called 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at Fort Canning Park. A play by William Shakespeare performed by the local cast in my home country.

It was an evening event. I brought some food and drinks including a pretty picnic mat from Swatch but I missed on the wine item. A picnic can't be completed without some wine. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself very much. My friend did too. The play was not bad, it made me laughed. I wish we have more of such events in Singapore. A memorable Sunday for me.

My First Golf Lesson 101

13th May 2007 marked my first golf lesson. Boy, I was so excited! I'm still am. It is a tiring hobby. I need to work on my arms so that I'll have more strength to carry the golf club. Took up my new-found hobby with a couple of friends. I managed to hit the golf ball the first time. Hehe... My coach even complimented me that I am doing a good job for a first-timer. He was just being too kind with his words. Practising with 40 golf balls is not an easy feat. I couldn't wait to finish hitting all the balls and head straight home. One can see how 'driven' I was then. Looking forward to my next golf lesson 102.

Masks

I went for my regular facial treatment earlier this week and my beautician told me that there were a number of clogged pores on my face. And it seems that there are more and more of such cases at every visit. This recent visit was quite bad. There were so many extractions done on my delicate skin till I started to be a little teary. It is getting rather annoying. I was recommended to use collagen mask which claimed to be effective on my troubled skin. So I decided to try on these masks. They don't come cheap, costing S$43 each. Not sure if they work miracles. I just used one such mask and I don't see any major effect. My mum told me to be patient. I WILL BE PATIENT. I PROMISE I WILL BE. Beauty care is a life long commitment. I bought some affordable facial masks from Marks and Spencer. I think they're not bad, seems to cleanse my skin. As I visit my beautician once a month, the rest of the time I will use those DIY facial masks. Personally, I think it is a good practise. And the make-up seems to look better on me after I used the facial mask. I wanted to add one last bit, I bought a facial wash containing charcoal as its main ingredient, it comes in powdery form. Seems to work well on some of the outbreaks on my face. It is a Japanese product. I read that charcoal works wonders. I love Japanese skin care products.
